PK Domain Transfer
Change Domain Registrar (or Account ID)
Domain transfer is when you change your domain registration provider or the account in which it was registered. When your domain moves from one provider/account to another, it only changes the organization or person managing your domain. It does not change the ownership of the domain. There is a different process to change ownership.

- Please note: Expired domains cannot be transferred; one needs to renew the domain before starting the transfer process.
For Individuals
If the domain ownership belongs to one person, follow these steps:

- Submit an affidavit with complete contact details (name, address, contact numbers, etc.), signed and attested by an oath commissioner. If applicable, the affidavit must be in the proper format and include an explanation of mismatched registrant information. Also, specify the current domain account ID and the desired transfer account ID in the authority letter. The affidavit must be on stamp paper worth Rs. 100.

- Provide a clear copy of the signatory's CNIC.

For Company

- If the domain belongs to a company/organization, provide the following: A signed and stamped written authorization letter from the CEO/Director/Head (not Domain Agent or Technical Contact) on official letterhead. Also, specify the current domain account ID and the desired transfer account ID in the authority letter. Download a Sample Authorization Letter

- If the registrant’s information (fully or partially) does not match the information provided, an affidavit in the proper format is also required with the official authorization letter. Explain the mismatched information in the affidavit and specify the current and desired transfer account ID in the authority letter. - A clear copy of the signing authority’s CNIC.

Notes
- Account ID can be specified as the account number or name (username). Original documents must be sent by post; scanned images are not accepted.
- The transfer process takes 3-4 business days after all requirements are fulfilled. Once PKNIC receives the original documents, they will process and verify them (mostly by phone).
